You follow it down a hallway and find a cryo chamber. You stagger your way up to the controls and, while fading in and out of consciousness, realign the final massive satellite dish needed to reconnect the entire system and send power back to earth.Īs you link up the final part of the power system and struggle to stay conscious and alive, you notice another hologram - the man holding Sarah's limp body. The man stabbed Sarah with a screwdriver in his anger, but immediately regretted his decision and comforted her as she laid against a wall and lost consciousness.īack in the current time, you locate some Helium 3 that wasn't sent away and restart the machine, but the blast from restarting it throws you against the wall and nearly kills you. Sarah got angry when he explained this and sent the monorail that was housing most of the Helium-3 away without the man, stranding him with her. He reveals that his daughter was on the third Ark in cryosleep. The man found some, but didn't tell Sarah as he wanted to take it to the third Ark and leave with it. She and the man she met looked for leftover Helium-3 that would be necessary to restart the machine safely. Sarah was able to turn the machine off, but still wanted to fix everything. The machine was building up power but had nowhere to release it since it was misaligned, so it was going to explode soon. Years back, Sarah also thought she could still turn the machine back on and restore power to earth while working with a man who was left behind for not believing in the leader's vision of leaving Earth to die. He also hacked several of the friendly robots that helped out around the station to be guards and shock people that came near before he left.Īs you continue to realign the power system, you learn that Sarah slowly worked her way roughly along the same route you did, leading to the main harvesting reactor machine. He was successful for the most part, and launched two of his three Arks filled with scientists and resources after cutting off the energy transmissions to earth, deeming it a lost cause. He gather support and basically uses force to kidnap people from the various colonies and force them to go along with his plan because most of them are highly intelligent scientists who would be very helpful on this trip.
Through these, you learn that the leader of one of the moon colonies has decided that resupplying power to the earth is a lost cause, and instead began stockpiling the Helium-3 and constructing what they call Arks, massive space ships meant to head further out into space in order to find a more sustainable place to live. Throughout the moon base, there are various holograms and audio recordings that you discover. You launch up and slowly fix the different systems, restoring power and realigning the satellite dishes, working your way through the different facilities that are in various states of disarray, as well as the surface of the moon with limited oxygen. Rolf is clearly hopeful that Sarah is still alive even though it has been a few years, and feels some remorse for having left her behind, even if it was against his will. You play as Rolf, who is now part of a group of people trying to launch a shuttle to the moon in order to fix the transmission system. The earth has all but dried up due to a lack of moon power. Sarah gets trapped and Rolf is pulled back up to evacuate before he can go to help her. They explore more but have a limited window before they have to get back up to evacuate. Two people named Rolf and Sarah who work up on the radio dish attached to the moon descend down to the moon base and find that the place is deserted. Some time later, for reasons unknown to most people, the transfer tower on the moon suddenly shut off. They developed a way to harvest this resource and transfer the power to the moon via giant radio dishes and various moon colonies. The world ran out of resources to make energy, and found a solution on the moon in Helium-3.
